Progress Reports

Progress reports went home today, make sure they are signed and returned to your homebase teacher. If you received a letter, make sure those are also signed and returned. The iReady reports are for you to keep. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me about the ELA scores or your math teacher about the math iReady scores.

If you would like to a have a copy of your report, just let your homebase teacher know, and they can send another one home. Your parent can also access Parent Portal (call the office for more info) or you can access your grade on the student PowerSchool portal. Grades are also located in the grade tracker. So many places to check! But if you are ever curious, we are just an email away.

As for class, make sure you are continuing to read for at least 20 pages a day in order to gain experience and grow as a reader. This is the best, easiest, and most enjoyable way to become a better reader. Reading takes practice, and just like any other skill, the more you practice the better you become.

Keep in mind our discussion about journals this week, and will begin our discussion about reading responses next week. Soon you will be expected to complete these weekly, so be sure to get all your questions about this process answered, and be sure you are clear on the expectations. I cannot wait to begin reading your writing. I'm sure it will be great.
